Scientists of the Niigata University of Japan have paid a business visit to the Kuban State Agrarian University.
The guests from the Land of the Rising Sun started their visit with the Alley of Fame and the Botanical Garden. Japanese scientists honored the memory of the victims of the Fukushima-1 Nuclear Power Plant accident and the Krymsk flood of 2012 by laying flowers at the Memorial to the Victims of Tsunami and Floods. Further, they visited sites where the success stories of our students start – Events Hall, Volunteer Center, International Communications Center. Scientists of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Research Institute showed to the partners their research works and spoke about current research projects. Visit to the University Historical Museum helped our guests to learn more about the history of the Kuban SAU.
One of the goals of the visit was to interview candidates who applied for the scholarship program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Tecnologies of Japan.
The highlight of the visit were the negotiations on the development of international cooperation and joint research, attended by Tatyana N. Polutina, Vice-Rector on International and Youth Policy and Eleanora Nainodina, Head of the International and External Relations Office from the Kuban SAU. The meeting participants discussed possible areas of joint research: ecology and forest research, agrochemistry and precise farming.
We are looking forward to developing future successful cooperation!
