Kuban State Agrarian University held the opening ceremony of the 6th Scientific Summer School “Prospective leaders of AgroIndustry – 2018” in cooperation with company Pepsi. The project is carried out within the framework of “Leaders of Agroindustry” social program which is aimed at training of new talented specialists in agricultural sphere.

During a week 24 students of Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don universities will have seminars and practical trainings in the field of food production, quality control, increase of effectiveness of manufacturing companies etc. PepsiCo representatives together with Kuban SAU lecturers and staff will assist the students with working on their own business projects. At the end of the week the students will present their projects to PepsiCo staff.

For participating in the project the students had to pass through several selection rounds. Only best students were invited to participate in the School. Many students would like to take part in the project as the reward is very competitive. Students presenting the best project will have a job interview for PepsiC. Students will have an opportunity to consult PepsiCo staff about prospective job.

Daniil Ovcharov, last year participant of PepsiCo School, present worker of PepsiCo’s dairy plant in a town of Timashevsk shared his experience on participation in the School: “Scientific Summer School was a great start of my career and professional experience. I attended seminars and trainings of PepsiCo staff and Kuban SAU lecturers, the knowledge I got was very helpful during the work on projects. At the end of the School I got a job offer, which I accented almost immediately. The company has been carrying many modern producing projects what really helps to be well-rounded”.

“With the Summer School project we solve multiple challenges. It’s very important for us to find new talented student for job placement at our company and we also underline the significance of higher education in the field of food production and development of agricultural sector. First of all the Summer School is a scientific project, which helps us to find and develop outstanding students. They’ll get a chance to get a job at our company which has been working in Russia for more than 50 years and is the largest producer of food staff and beverages in the country” – said Anna Kavrasskaya, specialist in the sphere of brand development and work with young company staff.

The Summer School project is a part of PepsiCo educational program of “Leaders of Agroindustry” Within the program the company supports Russian agrarian and technical universities. The projects includes several spheres: scholarships for students, grants for fitting universities with equipment, support for academic and scientific mobility, organization of summer schools and conferences.
