Kuban SAU expands knowledge base of agrarian education. Grand opening of two new classes sponsored by Syngenta company was held at crop protection faculty building today. The classrooms were fitted with up-to-date digital microscopes and interactive whiteboards. The technological refit of the faculty improves future agrochemists’ proficiency.

Aleksey Petuh, vice-rector for academic affairs, addressed guests with a word of thanks. Mr.Petuh noted, that the agrochemical company has been cooperating with KubSAU for more than 10 years. Many joint projects were developed during the cooperation period, for example: a field research station, located on the territory of instructional farm “Kuban”. Most of the company’s employees are graduates of agrochemistry and crop protection faculty of KubSAU.

“We need graduates who can work with up-to-date equipment, so we fit university classes for students to learn to operate it. As of today we see increased interest towards agrochemical sphere in the region. There are new hybrid seeds of field crops appearing. Graduates must be well-prepared for work”, said Aleksey Dmitrenko, director of Syngenta South LLC.

Syngenta is a Swiss company, which produces not only wide range of seeds of main field crops of Kuban region such as sunflower, corn, sugar beet, rape seeds, but also large variety of crop protection agents. The company has about 90 representative offices all over the world.
