A delegation of the Iraqi Cultural Office in Russia arrived at the Kuban State Agrarian University. The delegation was composed of Dr. Habib Abboud Mutashar, culture and education attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Russia, and Mr. Al-Haideri, press attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Russia.

The official delegation was met by Rector of the Kuban State Agrarian University Alexander Trubilin, Vice-Rector for International and Youth Policy Tatyana Polutina and Head of the Department of International and External Relations Eleonora Naynodina.

During the meeting, Alexander Ivanovich told the guests about the history of the university, international activities and the importance of university integration into the world space. They discussed the interaction in the scientific and educational sphere between the Kuban State Agrarian University and universities of the Republic of Iraq and signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Iraq. Such cooperation will attract students from Iraq to study.

The delegation then went on a tour of the innovative facilities of the university. The guests visited a museum, a veterinary clinic, a molecular genetics laboratory, a research institute of biotechnology, an artificial climate center, a sports complex, and a student campus.

In the daytime, a meeting with students from Iraq took place at the Center of Modern Communication. Students of the Faculties of Agrochemistry and Plant Protection, Architecture and Civil Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Zootechnics, Applied Informatics, Management, as well as students of the Preparatory Department came to this meeting. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, compatriots talked about different topics, watched a film about the university, and learnt more about the stages of the training course at the Preparatory Department for foreign citizens, where they study Russian as a foreign language.
